WhatsApp message Harry Mwaungulu

 [06:30, 07-02-2023] Harry Mwaungulu:

Tree planting has now commenced in most of Prison stations.  Last week I  went to Prison headquarters where we had a meeting with Bwana Farms Manager Mr Singo and Commissioner Kainja.

We discussed of how the Fruit trees are going to be distributed across our prisons. We agreed that this year all the Fruit trees must be planted on one station that is Mpyupyu Prison farm where land has been identified to establish an orchard.  We also discussed in details about how the Funds from our Donor Mr Flip De Haan are going to be used in the tree project to create  more transparency and accountability.

It was a fruitful meeting that we had for the benefit of Prison.

Except the fruits trees that will be planted on one station.  All the trees will be planted in various stations across the country.  Nurseries were established in 7 Prison stations across the country and their are seedlings in all those stations that we have now started planting in our designated places.

The management of Malawi Prison Services through Commissioner Bwana Kainja is very thankful to you Bwana Flip for unwavering and timely support to Malawi Prison Services through Funds for tree planting programs.

I think you so much Sir for the support and  for being with us throughout. We promise to use the funds prudently for the benefits of Malawi Prison Services.

Best regards,, Sir!
